Artists Equity is entering scripted television production four years after its founding, appointing former UCP development director Griffin Zucosky as Senior Vice President of Television. He will oversee the creation and production of both ongoing and limited series alongside the studio's existing unscripted leadership.

The expansion applies the company's defining business approach—compensating talent through ownership participation and profit sharing—to the television space. This model, common before the streaming era, has been largely displaced by cost-plus arrangements, though performance bonuses have recently returned. Artists Equity will need to negotiate tailored agreements with streamers like Netflix to accommodate its ownership-based structure, similar to deals already established for its film projects.
