Wyatt Maw’s feature debut, Ashland, will screen in competition at DOC NYC, with its trailer released ahead of the festival. The documentary portrays life in a Montana community on sacred land near the Battle of Little Bighorn, focusing on the hopes and dreams of its residents.

Maw filmed the work on Super 16mm over eight years, following an experience that began when he took a summer job on a ranch in Ashland.
