Aspyr Promises More Lord Of The Rings Revivals In The Future
Aspyr has said it plans to revive more classic Lord of the Rings games after unexpectedly releasing The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition for Switch and Switch 2. The announcement matters because it signals further access to older games from the franchise, although Aspyr has not identified which titles it will bring back or given a release timetable.
War in the North is already available on Switch and Switch 2, while its European release is due on 18 August. Nintendo Life highlighted The Two Towers, The Return of the King, The Third Age and 2003’s The Hobbit as possible fan favourites, but these are suggestions rather than confirmed releases; the publisher only promised “more classic releases” in future.
