Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott have become first-time parents following the birth of their daughter in late July. The news emerged as Abbott was finishing his run in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman, where he played Biff Loman alongside Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf, earning him a first Tony Award nomination.

The couple, who have previously collaborated in the 2020 film Black Bear and the off-Broadway production Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, share careers in acting and creative work. Plaza is recognised for her roles in The White Lotus and Parks and Recreation, as well as her work as co-creator of the animated series Kevin. The pregnancy was first reported in April, marking Plaza's first child; she was previously married to filmmaker Jeff Baena.
