## Summary

Jamie Miller says his life has changed dramatically after “Babydoll” became the UK’s number one single, making him the first Welsh artist to top the chart in 15 years. The viral success follows a difficult period in which he took two years away from music, and he says he is now experiencing genuine joy and trying to take things as they come.

The 29-year-old, from Cardiff, credits the song’s reach on TikTok, including videos shared by Jennifer Love Hewitt, and says its personal honesty may have helped it connect with listeners. He is the first solo male Welsh artist to reach number one in 41 years, since Shakin’ Stevens in 1985; Miller is planning a world tour, including shows in Wales.
