## Key points

- Parsons is developing three early-stage dream projects.
- A Portal film with Valve remains unconfirmed.
- He has also promised to complete the Backrooms story.

## Summary

Kane Parsons says he is working on “three dream projects”, prompting speculation that one could be a Portal film with Valve. He has called Portal a major inspiration for Backrooms and previously described directing a Portal film as a dream, but neither he nor Valve has confirmed a project.

Parsons says the projects are at an early information-gathering stage, and he has visited Valve at least twice this year. He is also committed to completing the Backrooms story: its A24 sequel has no release date, and a previous Portal film from J.J. Abrams may still be affected by existing contracts. Parsons has not said what his three projects are.
