Larian Studios marked Baldur's Gate 3's third anniversary by sharing a fresh batch of player statistics on social media, continuing an annual tradition of revealing quirky data about how people play the role-playing game. The figures highlight the extent to which players embrace violent or chaotic choices, particularly when playing as the murderous Dark Urge character, and underline the game's enduring popularity nearly three years after launch.

Among the standout figures, bard companion Alfira died in 48% of Dark Urge playthroughs, though Larian noted more non-Dark Urge players have killed her overall. Dark Urge players also killed Isobel in 62% of runs, Zevlor in 48%, Wulbren in 32% and Popper in 30%. Across all playthroughs, Zevlor died 12.31 million times, followed by Rolan (8.62 million), Isobel (7.2 million), Volo (4.62 million) and Alfira (2.62 million). Larian also revealed mods have been downloaded 500 million times, up from 265 million last year, and that the game has now sold over 20 million copies.
