Barnes & Noble has launched its annual Criterion Collection summer sale, cutting 50% off the list price of every available Criterion title on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD disc. The promotion matters to film and music fans building a physical media library, with prices starting at $7.49 (down from $14.99) and the offer due to expire on Sunday 26 July.

The sale includes a range of concert films, music documentaries and musicals such as This Is Spinal Tap, The Wiz, Martin Scorsese's The Last Waltz, the David Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream and Spike Lee's film of David Byrne's American Utopia, alongside prestige titles like The Princess Bride, No Country for Old Men and WALL-E. Orders ship free on carts over $60, or for members of B&N's $39.99-a-year scheme, and online orders can be collected in store for free.
