## Key points

- Lamarre-Condon again cited alleged workplace bullying.
- He described suicide plans and concern for the public.
- He denies murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.

## Summary

Lamarre-Condon returned to the witness box for a second day and again blamed alleged workplace bullying for worsening his mental state before the deaths of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies. He told the court he had felt he would rather be dead than continue working under a former colleague, and described planning suicide while trying to avoid traumatising members of the public.

He also called a remark about fitting a friend into a surfboard bag “dark humour”, days before the prosecution says he used surfboard bags to dispose of the men’s bodies. Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, denies murdering his ex-boyfriend Baird and Baird’s partner Davies in February 2024, as well as a break-and-enter charge. The prosecution case lasted seven weeks; he began giving evidence after it closed.
