Netflix has confirmed that "Beauty in Black" will not end with its upcoming third season, revealing it has already renewed Tyler Perry's drama for a fourth instalment. The update accompanies newly released first-look images ahead of the season three premiere on 27 August, which show Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) finally gaining a "seat at the Bellaire table" as a deadly family feud forces her into an uneasy alliance with Mallory (Crystle Stewart).

According to Netflix's synopsis, the pair must navigate blackmail, revenge and buried secrets as the wealthy Bellaire family wages war against one of its own, threatening to collapse the entire empire. The main cast includes Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Julian Horton, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka, Charles Malik Whitfield and Debbi Morgan, with further new additions such as Bailey Tippen and Randall J. Bacon. Perry serves as executive producer, creator, writer and director, alongside producers Angi Bones and Tony Strickland of Tyler Perry Studios.
