BelicoFest San José Featuring Santa Fe Klan & More Called Off: ‘Canceling … Is the Right Decision’

Billboard · 3 hours ago

BelicoFest San José, a Latin music festival scheduled for 29 August at PayPal Park, has been cancelled just over a week before it was due to take place. Organisers announced the decision on Friday 21 August via a joint Instagram post with the venue, calling it a difficult but necessary choice to ensure the best possible festival experience, though they did not explain the reasons behind the cancellation. This matters as it would have been the first-ever concert at the 18,000-seat stadium, home to the San Jose Earthquakes football club, and marked the second stop in BelicoFest's planned 2026 expansion.

The lineup had been due to feature headliners Tito Double P, Gerardo Ortiz and Santa Fe Klan, alongside Herencia de Patrones, Regulo Caro, Estevie, Anakin Larios, Ilusión Eterno and Grupo Ajedrez. It follows the festival's Los Angeles debut at BMO Stadium on 12 July, and organisers previously said BelicoFest drew more than 30,000 fans in Phoenix in 2025 when Peso Pluma headlined. Organisers say they are "actively exploring new dates" and will provide updates, while ticket holders will receive automatic refunds with no action required.
