Believe restructures global organization to ‘accelerate artist development strategy’

Music Business Worldwide · 2 months ago

Believe, the Paris-based digital music company, has announced a restructure that merges its Global Commercial organisation with its Product, Tech & Operations organisation, as part of a push to become what it calls "One Global Artist Development Company". Elsa Bahamonde Bourgain will lead the unified commercial side as President of Artist Services and Label & Artist Solutions, while Romain Becker takes over Product, Tech & Operations as Group Chief Operating Officer. The company frames the move, alongside its "From Access to Success" strategic plan, as central to accelerating its artist development strategy and delivering on its 2030 ambitions.

Bahamonde Bourgain, who joined Believe in 2021 and is credited with helping launch more than 15 labels, will report to Global Head of Music Romain Vivien, supported by newly appointed VPs Liubov Kevkhaian (Label & Artist Solutions) and Emmanuelle de Hosson (Artist Services). Becker, a former Google and YouTube music partnerships executive, reports to Founder and CEO Denis Ladegaillerie and will oversee a team including Group CTO Antoine Jacoutot, Global SVP Operations Sandrine Lalau-Keraly and newly appointed Group CPO Luxi Huang, formerly of TuneCore. The changes follow other recent senior appointments, including Chris Meehan as CEO of Publishing and Brian Miller as TuneCore's Chief Business Officer; Believe was taken majority-private in 2024 by a consortium including its founder, EQT and TCV, and generated more than $1 billion in revenue that year.
