A Yorkie mix named Owl, who vanished during a grooming appointment in Sedona, Arizona, in 2021, has been reunited with his family more than four years later. The dog was found wandering roughly three hours away near Camp Verde and identified through his microchip by Pinetop Police, allowing officers to reconnect him with owner Linsey Frawley and her family, who had given up hope of ever finding him.

The reunion, though joyful, was tinged with sadness as Owl was found in a severely neglected state, unable to hear, with his eyes and mouth fused shut and his fur badly matted. The family suspects he may have been taken from the groomers and kept by someone else during his years away, and they plan to report this to police, though their immediate focus is on his recovery, which is reportedly progressing well. Owl's return was particularly emotional for Frawley's son, Mason Goodson, who was just five years old when the dog first joined the family.
