Starz has released a trailer for the second season of Outlander prequel spin-off Blood of My Blood, due to return on 18 September. The new episodes will follow Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp’s parents as war and time travel again separate the central couples, extending the franchise after the original Outlander concluded.

Against the backdrop of the Jacobite Rising, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie are drawn onto opposing sides through their families, with Brian returning to Castle Leathers and Ellen seeking to protect the MacKenzies. Julia Beauchamp is left behind with baby Claire after Henry is sent through the stones alone, while Henry appears to be placed in a mental asylum; Matthew B. Roberts returns as showrunner, with Ronald D. Moore executive producing.
