- Kruger and Cienfuegos have filed restraining orders against each other.

## Summary

Five candidates are competing for two seats on the Beverly Hills school board in a race that has become unusually acrimonious. The contest centres partly on whether the board has a conservative majority, and the personal disputes have raised questions about how candidates are conducting themselves in a community election.

Democrats Jackie Kruger and Kim Lifschitz are campaigning together, while incumbent Judy Manouchehri and lawyer David Cienfuegos describe themselves as non-partisan; maths teacher Jared Gonzales says his campaign focuses on facts. The article reports accusations over stolen campaign signs, social media posts about a Tesla linked to Kruger’s family, and temporary restraining-order filings by Kruger and Cienfuegos. Voters may choose up to two candidates.
