Billboard Videos to Be Featured on Netflix as Part of New Partnership
Netflix has announced a new partnership that will bring videos from a range of digital publishers, including Billboard, to its platform, with the content beginning to appear for subscribers next month. The move is significant as part of Netflix's broader strategy to diversify beyond traditional series and films into formats such as live events, mobile clips, games and podcasts, deepening viewer engagement with the personalities and stories they follow.
Billboard is one of Penske Media's PMX brands taking part, alongside Eater, Indiewire, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety, with other publishers including BuzzFeed, Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, People Inc. and Tastemade. From 3 August, the videos will feature on the Netflix home page for subscribers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, ranging from three-minute clips to 20-minute episodes and spanning entertainment, food, travel, fashion, design and wellness. Billboard's contribution includes its "24 Hours With" series, which has featured artists such as Charli xcx, Travis Scott, "Weird Al" Yankovic and Latto.
