Billy Strings has released “Mill Town Flood”, a new song from his forthcoming album So Much For Goodbyes. The track is a tragic, self-written narrative about an alcoholic lumber worker, presented with the feel of an older traditional folk song and underscoring Strings’ bluegrass storytelling style.

The spare acoustic recording includes backing harmonies from Daniel Tashian and Lindsay Lou. So Much For Goodbyes, co-produced by Strings and T Bone Burnett, is due for release on 28 August through Reprise, ahead of Strings headlining his Ionia Freak Fair festival.
