Bino Rideaux and Blacc Sam, the brother of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, appeared at Billboard House during Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Week to discuss PROLIFIC, their collaborative album released on 14 August. The record marks Hussle's first posthumous project since his death in March 2019, and the pair used the panel to reflect on how the release continues his "Marathon" legacy seven years on.

The album was recorded in 2017, when Bino and Hussle spent three months effectively living at NoName Studio in Los Angeles. It was originally titled "Single for the Summer" before Hussle's partner, actress Lauren London, objected to the name and the team changed it, with Sam recalling her reaction in the interview. PROLIFIC features guest appearances from Cardi B, Ty Dolla $ign, Buddy and Leon Thomas among others, debuted at number 21 on the Billboard 200, and arrived a day before what would have been Hussle's 41st birthday. Bino also expressed hope for a Grammy nomination for the project.
