Chadwick Boseman’s brothers have begun legal action against his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, alleging she has mishandled the late actor’s estate and should be removed as its administrator. The dispute matters because it concerns the management of Boseman’s financial legacy and image rights, which his family says has left his parents without clarity, funds and closure.

Boseman died in 2020 aged 43 without a will, leaving assets valued at $3.8m (£2.9m). A court allocated half of the estate to Ledward and a quarter each to his parents, but the brothers allege the money has still not been distributed and that Ledward has not been transparent about a company managing his image and rights; she has been asked for comment.
