Rhino High Fidelity has released limited audiophile reel-to-reel editions of Black Sabbath’s 1970 debut album and its follow-up, “Paranoid”. The releases offer collectors a high-end analogue format for two records widely regarded as foundational heavy metal albums, underlining their continuing commercial and cultural appeal.

Both editions were duplicated in real time from copies of the US analogue master tapes and are limited to 500 copies worldwide, sold exclusively through Rhino.com. They use 15 i.p.s. half-track quarter-inch tape on RTM LPR90 stock; the debut reached No. 8 in the UK and “Paranoid” topped the UK chart, while the latter has sold more than four million copies in the US.
