Bleech 9:3 share brooding new single ‘Figure 8’: “The product of crying quietly so your flatmates don’t hear you”
The Irish band Bleech 9:3, a London-based act featured in this year's NME 100, have released a new single called 'Figure 8' via Polydor Records, following on from their self-titled five-song EP released in May. The track was produced by acclaimed producer Dan Carey, known for work with Fontaines D.C., Kae Tempest and Wet Leg, and mixed by Rich Costey, whose credits include Arctic Monkeys and Bruce Springsteen, underlining the band's growing industry backing as they build momentum this year.
Frontman Barry 'Baz' Quinlan described the song as "the product of crying quietly so your flatmates don't hear you," with the track featuring his moody vocals set against squalling guitars and a propulsive rhythm. The band will support Wunderhorse in Belfast and Cork before appearing at Reading & Leeds, Electric Picnic and Iceland Airwaves, and they will then headline their own UK and Ireland tour from November through December, including a show at London's Electric Ballroom.
