Bloc Party have released "Pigwig", the third single from their forthcoming concept album Anatomy Of A Brief Romance, which charts the story of a chaotic rebound relationship. The track continues the London band's collaboration with veteran producer Trevor Horn and follows earlier singles "Coming On Strong" and "Love Bombs" ahead of the record's release next month.

Frontman Kele Okereke has said the song, named after his former partner's pet nickname (taken from the Beatrix Potter character), captures the disorienting feeling of falling helplessly in love, and recalls a happy seaside memory from the relationship it documents. Anatomy Of A Brief Romance is due out on 11th September via cOnTAGIOUS LTD/Virgin, with the accompanying "Pigwig" video directed by Laura Perrett.
