Bluetti has unveiled the Pioneer 5000, a rugged, high-capacity battery power station the company is pitching as an "e-generator" alternative to noisy, polluting petrol generators. Aimed at job sites, events, emergency responders and homes, it aims to deliver comparable power output to a fuel generator while running quietly and without emissions, though it still needs to be charged from mains power or solar panels rather than fuel.

Built around a 5.12kWh LFP battery, the unit can be expanded up to 35kWh, enough to power an average American home at full capacity for just over a day. It offers up to 18kW of instant surge power for starting heavy equipment like air compressors and motors, IP65 dust and water resistance, an operating range of -20°C to 55°C, combined AC/solar charging at up to 6.2kW, and a wheeled dolly for portability. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
