- The alleged incidents date to the 1970s and 1980s.

## Summary

A former Monkton Combe School teacher, Derek Barker, is accused of arranging for an older pupil to rape a younger boy in Barker’s private flat while he watched. The allegation was heard at Bristol Crown Court, where Barker, now 92, denies eight sexual offences involving four boys in the 1970s and 1980s.

The complainant told police the abuse happened repeatedly and said Barker facilitated it by inviting both pupils to his flat, though he did not physically assault him. He contacted police in 2022, saying he had wanted an apology and acknowledgement. Barker denies being present or organising the incidents; the trial continues.
