## Summary

Will Iger, son of Bob Iger, is joining the Coachella Valley Lakers as their play-by-play announcer. The appointment comes as his father is expected to become a part-owner of the NBA team, giving the family a new connection to the Lakers organisation.

The G League team, formerly known as the South Bay Lakers, has moved to the Palm Springs area and begins its season on Friday. A.C. Green, a three-time NBA champion, returns as game analyst. Iger previously called games for the Austin Spurs and San Antonio FC, and appeared on a Dallas Mavericks studio show; Bob Iger is expected to have an operational role when the Lakers ownership deal closes.
