## Key points

- Mark Jones criticised Florida’s Republican midterm result on Bluesky.
- He cited flood projects and money allegedly taken from sick children.
- The article also revisits his past remarks and disputes his motives.

## Summary

Former ESPN broadcaster Mark Jones criticised Florida voters on Bluesky after the state remained Republican in the 2026 midterms. His posts contrasted Florida’s result with projected Democratic victories in Congress and referred to flood remediation and money allegedly taken from sick children.

The article also says Jones celebrated Michele Tafoya’s defeat in Minnesota’s Senate race and recalls his past comments about athletes. It presents a strongly critical view of Jones and includes speculation about his motivations, attributed to people who worked with him; those claims are the article’s characterisations, not independently established facts.
