The Metropolitan Police will take no further action against Bob Vylan member Bobby Vylan, real name Pascal Robinson-Foster, over his “death to the IDF” chant at a pro-Palestinian Al Quds Day demonstration in London. The decision ends a five-month investigation and mirrors an earlier decision by Avon and Somerset Police not to act over the same chant at Glastonbury 2025, though the phrase had prompted concern among Jewish communities and criticism from the BBC.

Robinson-Foster made the chant at the Albert Embankment rally on 15 March and later criticised the Met for investigating him again. Police said they sought early advice from the Crown Prosecution Service before concluding that no further action was appropriate, while pledging to work with community representatives on Jewish Londoners’ safety. Bob Vylan have also said they intend to take legal action against the BBC over its response to their Glastonbury performance.
