Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Performs Entire Set of Bob Dylan Covers at Eaux Claires Fest

Rolling Stone · 3 hours ago

Justin Vernon, performing as Bon Iver, returned to the stage at the Eaux Claires festival in Wisconsin with a full set of Bob Dylan covers, billed as “Bon Dylan”. The performance mixed major Dylan songs with less familiar material, and was followed by an unannounced Bon Iver set—his first full concert of his own songs since 2023.

The Dylan tribute included more than a dozen tracks, including “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”, “All Along the Watchtower”, “Tangled Up in Blue”, “Shooting Star” and “When He Returns”. Vernon’s surprise set featured songs such as “Flume”, “Speyside”, “Re: Stacks” and the unreleased John Prine tribute “Room to Spare”, replacing a planned appearance by Kevin Morby, who had withdrawn from the festival.

  • Justin Vernon performed an extensive Bob Dylan covers set at Eaux Claires.
  • He also played his first full Bon Iver concert since 2023.
  • The festival continues in Wisconsin with Dijon, Samia and others.
