He apologised to the audience and asked them to keep their ticket stubs while arrangements for a rescheduled performance are considered, underlining the disruption to the band’s return to touring.

A spokesperson confirmed the illness was responsible for the early finish and said further information would follow. The show was part of Bon Jovi’s Forever tour, which began earlier in July after the singer spent four years away from touring following surgery for a strained vocal cord; he said in June that he had fully recovered.
