In his social media statement, Boosie added detail he felt was omitted, including an earlier meeting with the White House's "pardon czar" about his case, his hope that criminal justice reform advocate Alice Marie Johnson could help him, and additional drug-related charges brought against him after an earlier case was dismissed.
