DC Studios is expanding beyond superheroes with Get Jiro, an animated series based on the graphic novels by the late chef Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the show will premiere on Adult Swim's Toonami block on 3 October 2026, marking a notable tonal shift for the studio into dark comedy, cyberpunk crime and dystopian violence as it continues to broaden its output alongside major DC releases.

The series is set in a near-future Los Angeles where chefs hold ultimate power and customers will kill for a table at the best restaurants, centring on a vengeful sushi chef named Jiro. Brian Tee voices the title character, joined by Titus Welliver (Bosch: Legacy), Alison Pill and Justin Kirk in undisclosed roles. It was developed by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, who also co-wrote A24's Sharper, with Jordan Blum and Sam Register serving as additional executive producers. Episodes will air on Adult Swim from midnight on 3 October before streaming on HBO Max the following day.
