## Key points

- Sunderland are standing by Le Bris despite sitting bottom.
- They have one win in nine Premier League games.
- Le Bris previously led the club to promotion and seventh place.

## Summary

Sunderland are expected to keep Regis Le Bris as manager for now, despite a poor start to their Premier League campaign. The club believe he can improve results after Saturday’s defeat by Coventry left them bottom of the table.

Le Bris joined from Lorient in 2024, led Sunderland back to the top flight after an eight-year absence and then guided them to seventh place, earning a Europa League place. Sunderland have one win in nine league games, but have won two and drawn one in their three Europa League matches; they face Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday and Chelsea on Sunday.
