## Key points

- Boulter beat Golubic in straight sets to reach the last 16.
- A disputed call disrupted her bid to serve out the match.
- She recovered to win the second-set tie-break 7-2.

## Summary

Katie Boulter reached the last 16 of the Hong Kong Open after beating Viktorija Golubic 6-2, 7-6 (7-2), despite being unsettled by a disputed call. The British number one said the incident affected her concentration, but she recovered to win the tie-break.

Boulter was broken while serving for the match at 5-2, after an outside noise distracted her and the umpire did not order the point to be replayed. She then lost another service game before closing out the match; the 2024 finalist said she had learned from the experience. She will next face American Claire Liu.
