## Key points

- A boy described the first stabbing in Williams’s Halloween attacks.
- He and his friend hid in bushes and called 999.
- Williams denies 14 attempted murder charges.

## Summary

A 14-year-old boy told a court he was stabbed by Anthony Williams while trick or treating in Peterborough, the first in a series of assaults over Halloween weekend. Williams is accused of attempting to murder 14 people, including passengers and staff on a train; the trial is hearing evidence about the attacks and the actions of people who tried to help.

The boy said Williams pulled a knife from his waistband, stared at him with his eyes wide open and shouted, “Are you involved?” He and his friend fled into bushes and called 999. Williams admits 12 charges of wounding with intent and two of attempted wounding with intent, but denies 14 attempted murder charges; the article says ten people were attacked on the train.
