An assault at Tramlines music festival in Sheffield left two young attendees injured on Saturday evening. The boys, aged 12 and 14, were approached by a group of teenagers near the Open Arms stage and subjected to punching and kicking. The older boy sustained facial injuries requiring hospital treatment and reportedly lost a tooth. South Yorkshire Police confirmed they are investigating and appealed for witnesses to contact them with information.

Festival organisers characterised the incident as an isolated occurrence at an event that typically draws around 38,000 daily attendees and maintains a family-friendly reputation. A Tramlines representative confirmed that the organisation's security, medical, and safeguarding teams responded promptly to assist the injured youths and their accompanying adults. The festival stated it works closely with police and operates procedures to remove individuals who threaten attendee safety and enjoyment.
