## Key points

- Aiyuk has filed for NFL reinstatement.
- He is expected at the 49ers’ facility on Friday.
- His return follows a reversal of his July remarks.

## Summary

Brandon Aiyuk has filed to be reinstated by the NFL and is due to report to the San Francisco 49ers’ training facility on Friday. The move reverses his July statement that he would not seek reinstatement or do further business with the club, setting up a potentially awkward return.

Aiyuk is on San Francisco’s Reserve/Left Squad list, and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he is healthy and ready to play. The 49ers could consider adding him to the active roster amid injuries among their wide receivers, though the article says it is unclear whether the team will do so.
