Michaels said the pain had persisted for a week before becoming unbearable after a private concert at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. He had also played shows in Charleston, West Virginia, and Grantville, Pennsylvania, and thanked the medical staff who treated him; he has been performing solo dates this year amid cancellations and a stalled Poison reunion.
