Cinemark and Regal have announced Harry Potter-themed popcorn buckets and drinks containers to coincide with the theatrical re-release of all eight films for the franchise’s 25th anniversary. The merchandise reflects the growing use of elaborate cinema collectibles to attract fans and generate interest around major rereleases.

Cinemark’s range includes an anniversary tin with a wand-shaped stirrer, Sorting Hat containers in standard and limited gold versions, and four house-themed Gripper cups; it is already on sale in its cinemas. Regal will offer buckets shaped like the Nimbus 2000, Hogwarts Express and a Hogwarts trunk, each with large popcorn, plus an anniversary cup-and-bucket combo, available from 27 August when the rereleases begin.
