‘Britain’s most eligible bachelor’ Earl of Wessex, 18, gets A-level grades he needs to study at Royal Agricultural University after working as a farmhand over summer
The Earl of Wessex, James, has secured the A-level results needed to begin a rural land and property management degree at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester this autumn. The 18-year-old’s move to university is notable as he is a senior member of the Royal Family, 17th in line to the throne, and has increasingly appeared at public royal events since reaching adulthood.
The Palace did not disclose his grades, but the course requires at least 104 UCAS points, equivalent to BCC at A-level. James completed his studies at Radley College and has spent part of the summer working as a farmhand on the King’s Sandringham estate, including driving tractors. The university, founded in 1845, says the degree covers rural practice, planning, law, valuation, construction, sustainability and business management.
