## Summary

A National Lottery adviser has revealed that some of the UK's biggest jackpot winners maintain a private WhatsApp group where they swap holiday photographs and discuss how to spend their fortunes, including charitable projects. Andy Carter, known as the lottery's "fixer" and who has guided more than 2,500 winners over 20 years, said the community offers vital peer support because winners typically have no one else in their lives who understands the experience of sudden, life-changing wealth.

Carter, who lives in Cardiff and has helped manage a combined £4 billion in winnings, said the group is open only to those who have chosen to go public, to avoid compromising winners who wish to remain anonymous. Members reportedly discuss holidays, charitable giving and coping with sudden change, but notably never disclose the exact size of their winnings, meaning a millionaire and a multimillionaire share the same "wacky experience" without comparison. He described the network, alongside wellbeing courses run by operator Allwyn UK, as one of the most valuable resources on offer to winners adjusting to their new circumstances.
