Victorian police have launched a manhunt for Peter O'Ryan, 48, after he allegedly attacked three of his relatives with an axe or hatchet in the Gippsland town of Tyers, Australia, leaving all three critically injured. The attack occurred following a reported argument, and O'Ryan, who is believed to have targeted his parents and brother, fled the scene on foot and remains at large, prompting a warrant for his arrest and public appeals for information.

Emergency services were called to a property on Cowies Road at around 12.30pm on Saturday, where they found two men, aged 76 and 47, and a 74-year-old woman with critical injuries. The men were airlifted to hospital in life-threatening condition, while the woman was taken to hospital and remains stable. Police believe O'Ryan may still be armed and is known to shelter in abandoned buildings around Morwell; the public has been warned not to approach him but to call emergency services if he is spotted.
