## Key points

- Bradshaw says Buffalo’s defence rules out a Super Bowl win.
- The Bills rank 30th in points allowed.
- No bottom-three scoring defence has won a Super Bowl.

## Summary

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw said the Buffalo Bills’ defence is too poor for the team to win the Super Bowl. Speaking on Fox NFL Sunday ahead of Buffalo’s game against Baltimore, he argued that even a strong offence cannot make up for a lack of defensive quality.

Bradshaw called the Bills’ defence “horrible” and pointed to the team’s 30th-place ranking in points allowed. The article says no team has won a Super Bowl after ranking among the bottom three in that category; the worst-ranked champion was the 2011 New York Giants, who placed 25th. Buffalo’s offence has improved under first-year head coach Joe Brady, while the departure of defensive-minded coach Sean McDermott may have weakened its defence.
