YouGov polling commissioned by Best for Britain suggests Labour could improve its prospects at the next general election if Andy Burnham pledged to take the UK back into the European Union. The research indicates Labour would win 321 seats—close to a working majority—while reducing the threat posed by Reform UK and giving pro-European parties a clear parliamentary majority.

The modelling covers 632 constituencies in Great Britain and estimates Labour would win only 136 seats while Reform took 300 if Brexit policy remained unchanged. Labour’s projected total rises to 256 seats with a customs-union pledge, 257 with a single-market commitment, and 321 with full EU membership; Reform’s total falls from 300 to 191 under the same scenarios. The findings come from a pro-EU campaign group and coincide with wider debate about the government’s future relationship with Europe.
