Butcher Babies have announced their new album Nightbloom, due for release on 2 October via Judge and Jury Records. It marks the band's first full studio album without founding co-vocalist Carly Harvey, who left the group in 2024, and comes alongside a new live-action music video for the single "Blame It On the Wind".

The track is the album's fourth single, following "Sincerity", "Lost in Your Touch" and "Black Dove", and blends slicker mainstream rock verses with heavier, djent-inflected choruses. Lead singer Heidi Shepherd has said the record grew out of a period of intensive therapy, drawing on deeply personal experiences including divorce, bereavement and estrangement from her Mormon community, while guitarist Henry Flury described the album as being written "with purpose", calling it the band's most important work to date.
