## Summary

At a rally at Clark Atlanta University, Kamala Harris stumbled while introducing Senator Jon Ossoff as Georgia’s “next” senator, then corrected herself to “continuing senator”, drawing laughter and cheers. She urged Democrats to turn frustration after her 2024 defeat into political action and encouraged young people to vote in the approaching midterm elections.

Harris criticised the Trump administration and spoke about young voters’ influence and the challenges they face. She has campaigned for Democrats in several states and says she is considering another presidential run in 2028, though she has delayed a decision until after the midterms. Ossoff is reported to lead Republican challenger Mike Collins by 8 to 10 points in polls and has raised more than $100 million, compared with Collins’s roughly $2.7 million.
