Cadillac have replaced founding Formula 1 team principal Graeme Lowdon with Marcin Budkowski during the team’s debut season. Chief executive Dan Towriss said the decision reflected Cadillac’s future direction rather than recent reliability problems, but the change is significant as the new American entrant seeks to establish a competitive long-term structure.

Lowdon, 61, built the team over three years amid a lengthy entry process, while Budkowski, 49, brings experience from Renault/Alpine, the FIA, McLaren, Ferrari and Prost. Cadillac have scored no points in their first 11 races with Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, and have faced recurring technical issues, notably overheating brakes. The team currently operates across UK and US sites, with a future headquarters planned in Fishers, Indiana.
