## Key points

- Skattebo is still rehabbing a hamstring injury.
- Tracy is on injured reserve for four more games.
- The Giants may seek running back help before the deadline.

## Summary

Giants running back Cam Skattebo remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, leaving his availability for Sunday’s game against the Eagles in doubt. The injury has added urgency to questions about whether the Giants, who have been linked with running backs ahead of the NFL trade deadline, need to strengthen the position.

Skattebo again worked on the side during Wednesday’s practice after getting hurt on a 42-yard run in the Week 7 overtime win over Houston. Tyrone Tracy is on injured reserve for at least four more games, leaving Devin Singletary as the only experienced NFL running back on the active roster; Greg Derosiers has yet to play in the league. Eric Gray and Phil Mafah are on the practice squad. The Giants are 4-2-1 and lead the NFC East, while the Eagles are 2-6 after six consecutive defeats.
