- His 42-yard overtime run helped set up the winning touchdown.

## Summary

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo criticised the NFL after officials penalised him for unnecessary roughness against Houston Texans safety M.J. Stewart. He said he would keep running the way he does despite the risk of further flags or fines, after the call drew complaints from Giants coach John Harbaugh and fans.

The penalty came during a Giants victory sealed in overtime: Skattebo ran for 42 yards to help set up Devin Singletary’s winning 30-yard touchdown. Skattebo finished with 124 rushing yards on 17 carries and a touchdown, bouncing back after receiving no carries in the previous game. Officials appeared to judge that he led with the crown of his helmet, as the league continues to target helmet-to-helmet contact.
