New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo reportedly received a warning from team management after attempting a backflip at Fanatics Fest and failing to land it cleanly. The incident drew concern because he is returning from a serious ankle injury, making an avoidable off-field injury risk particularly significant before the season.

Skattebo said he has performed backflips since childhood but acknowledged that he sometimes does “dumb things” and learns from them. He said he would probably not attempt the move again, while Giants general manager Joe Schoen indicated he would prefer Skattebo not to take such risks; Skattebo has said he is otherwise fit and preparing for training camp.
