Cameron Diaz is continuing her return to acting with a new Netflix film called "Bad Day," an action-comedy set for release on 11 December. The announcement, confirmed by Netflix with first-look images, follows Diaz's 2025 comeback in "Back in Action" and marks another significant streaming vehicle for the star, who largely stepped away from major film roles after 2014's "Annie."

Diaz stars as a single mother trying to keep a promise to her daughter amid a chaotic day, alongside Danielle Brooks and John Higgins, with a supporting cast including Ed O'Neill, Ben Schwartz, Mark Duplass and Retta. The film was written by Laura Solon and directed by Jake Szymanski, with Solon producing alongside Beau Bauman and Mark Moran.
